A girl named Eliza dies falling off a tree, when her friend:Ginny, and her planned to watch Franklin Roosevelt was about to make a speech. Ginny survived. Now she is a ghost. She can NOT rest in peace until she gets her justice. There is a rumor that the Balm of Gilead (Old Balmy) which is over 275 years old is haunted. Who is "haunting" it?
I like this book. It is very tense. In 1 part of the book, it says that the 4 girls have to meet the mayor in order to have the Great Sockathon held. The problem is that the mayor HAS to agree to Have the sockathon held. Will Mayor Nancy Sargent agree? Or will the girls have to give up and just fail Eliza, and keep her not able to rest in peace?
