Kindergarten- 2nd gradeKindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders will begin studying the books that are nominated for the 2016 North Carolina Children's Book Award Contest. Each year, students across the state of North Carolina get the opportunity to choose the winner of this award. Students will use the research process to conduct research to help them make a decision about which book they will vote for at the end of March.

3rd gradeThird grade students use their research about polar animals to create a nonfiction book that demonstrates their understanding of text features. They will create their books using Google Slides.

4th gradeFourth grade students will do research to create stop motion videos that illustrate how various landforms form.

5th gradeFifth grade students will conduct research to investigate prominent historical figures of the Revolutionary War. Students will identify important contributions and character traits of these figures. They will note how they are depicted in art from the time period.
Students will also design stamps using Tinkercad that reflect designs and textures they find in artwork. Some designs will be printed on our 3D printer for students to use in Art class! |
